The monster cannot see you, but it hears water. Stay out of the water, throw pebbles away from your path to pull the monster off you, and jump only when your target is clear. Spend your first Coins on Throwing Range.
DONT SPLASH is a horror platformer on Roblox, released on October 17, 2026. Its description says it draws on the Poolrooms and House of the Locust. Rooms are flooded, and you cross on bridges and platforms to reach the exit. It may be too scary for some younger players, even though Rotrends lists it as all ages.
The game is new and changing quickly. A V2 update has reorganized the rooms, so older videos may show a different route. Room details below come from unofficial fan wikis and may not match your run exactly.
Getting into a game
Walk to a portal in the lobby and create a party. Sportskeeda says you can go solo or bring up to four players. Then pick a difficulty.
| Difficulty | What changes | Coins |
|---|---|---|
| Easy | Small rooms, lots of platforms | Lowest |
| Normal | Larger rooms, fewer platforms | More |
| Hard | Fewer platforms, tighter jumps | Most. Unlocks after you finish Normal twice |
Start on Easy to learn the rooms, then move to Normal as soon as you can finish reliably.
Controls on PC
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| W, A, S, D or arrows | Move |
| Space | Jump |
| E | Interact, including valves |
| Left click | Throw the equipped item |
How the monster behaves
- It reacts to any splash, whether from you or a thrown item.
- It moves fast once alerted.
- Touching the water slows you down badly and alerts it, per one fan wiki.
- The same wiki warns it can catch you in midair if it is already charging under your jump. Do not jump over it just because you have not landed yet.
Sportskeeda also says you can hop onto a bridge that has the monster near it, so judge your jump rather than freezing. The safest pattern is simple: throw first, wait for the monster to turn, then jump.
Room types you will see
Fan wikis describe a route like this. There is no official room list, and rooms may vary.
| Room | What to do |
|---|---|
| Starting platforms | Jump along the path and follow markers. Wait on solid ground if the monster is under your next jump |
| Broken walkway | Pick narrow ledges with short jumps, or wide platforms with longer jumps. Keep moving |
| Sinking platforms | Regular tiles sink as you stand on them. Keep hopping until you reach a tile with a dark border, which is safe |
| Rotating bridges | Wait at the edge until the bridge swings to you. Ride it and jump off when it is closest to the next platform |
| Maintenance lock | Open both valves to unlock the exit. Valves are loud and draw the monster |
Beating the valve room
This room ends the run, and it catches many new players out. Use E on both valves. Guides describe the machines as loud, so pull the monster away first with a pebble or bottle, then work the valve.
The fan wikis also describe rising water, with short timers on some platforms. Once it starts, get up to the exit quickly. Do not stop to pick up items here unless you have time.
Equipment and how to use it
Buy equipment at the purple EQUIPMENT stall in the lobby. Your loadout has three slots, so fill them before each run. You can also check remaining supplies in your Inventory. An equipped tool can still be out of uses, so look before you leave.
| Equipment | Cost in Coins | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Pebbles | Starter item. Refills are 5 for 1 or 25 for 5 | Skips across water, making small splashes |
| Bottles | 150 | One loud splash that pulls the monster from far away |
| Rescue Rope | 250 | Pulls a teammate onto a platform, once per room |
| Wind-up Toy | 300 | Waddles through water making noise for 6 seconds |
| Flare | 450 | Stuns the monster for 5 seconds. No new stun for 8 seconds after |
Costs are from Bloxodes (October 28). NerdsChalk's screenshots agree on Bottles and Pebbles. Check the prices in your game for the others. New Bottles, Toys and Flares are reported to come with three free uses.
Loose pebbles and bottles can also be picked up in rooms, so grab them when it is safe.
What to buy first
Upgrades are at the yellow UPGRADES stall, next to Equipment. Each has three levels, and each is a permanent boost. Bloxodes suggests this order:
- Throwing Range, 150 Coins. Pebbles and bottles fly 10% farther at level 1.
- Bottles, once pebbles stop moving the monster off your path.
- Pebble Skipping, 150 Coins. Each pebble makes 4 splashes instead of 3.
- Flare, as your panic button when the monster is already close.
Playing with friends? Move Rescue Rope and Rescue Speed up. The rope reaches downed teammates from farther away, and Rescue Speed cuts the pull from 3.0 to 2.8 seconds at level 1. Solo players can skip both.
Budget carefully, because tools and upgrades use the same Coins. Some upgrades need the matching tool first, like Toy Battery needing the Wind-up Toy.
A 30 Robux pass for a reusable rope is reported by one guide. You do not need it to finish the game. Ask a parent or guardian before buying anything.
Tips for your first runs
- Move in short, planned hops. A rushed jump is an easy way to make a splash.
- Rest only on tiles you know are safe.
- Throw pebbles away from your path, not near it.
- Do not waste all your pebbles in the first room. They run out.
- Save your Flare for emergencies, and move as soon as the stun lands.
- In a group, spread out so one bad splash does not pull the monster onto everyone.
