Forsaken Beginner Guide for Survivors and Killers

October 30, 2026 · 5 min read

On this page

As a Survivor in Forsaken, you win by staying alive until the timer hits zero. As the Killer, you win by eliminating everyone first. Start with a free character, keep your stamina above zero, and fix generators when it is safe.

Forsaken has no redeem codes. Recent pages say there is no code system at all, so characters must be earned by playing.

The game is in beta and its characters change. Prices and role details below come from a fan wiki updated in October 2026. Tips on chases and specific abilities come from older guides, so check your in-game descriptions.

How a round works

  1. A server holds up to 9 players. The player with the most Malice becomes the Killer, and everyone else is a Survivor.
  2. You pick a character and vote on a map.
  3. The round starts with a timer.
  4. Survivors repair generators with a wire puzzle. Finished generators take time off the clock.
  5. Survivors win if anyone is alive at zero. The Killer wins by eliminating all of them first.
  6. You earn Player Points and EXP, then queue again.

Older guides sometimes describe exit gates and skill checks. The Roblox page and the current wiki describe a timer and wire puzzles instead, so go by those.

The game page warns about flashing lights and loud audio.

Which Survivor to play first

Survivors come in three roles. Survivalists look after themselves, Sentinels stun or block the Killer, and Supports heal, shield, build or trap.

Survivor Role Cost in Player Points Good for
Noob Survivalist Free Learning to escape with speed, shield and invisibility tools
Shedletsky Sentinel Free Learning to stun with a sword, plus a self-heal
Elliot Support Free Healing teammates with thrown pizza
007n7 Survivalist 500 Tricking the Killer with clones
Builderman Support 500 Building a sentry and a healing dispenser
Guest 1337 Sentinel 500 Blocking hits for the team
Two Time Sentinel 500 Second-life play, but low health
Dusekkar Support 600 Shields and slowing
Taph Support 600 Traps
Helperbot Support 650 Team scans and buffs
Veeronica Survivalist 750 Skateboard speed
Chance Sentinel 777 Random, high-risk play

Jane Doe is earned through a lobby quest, not bought.

Shedletsky and Elliot have the lowest difficulty rating on the wiki, at 2 out of 5. Noob is listed at 3. Try all three before spending any points.

Stamina is your second health bar

Sprinting drains stamina. If it reaches zero, you can only walk for a while, and that is when most new players get caught.

  • Walk when the Killer is not close. Save sprinting for real danger.
  • Do not wait until your bar is empty to slow down.
  • When you lose the Killer, walk until your bar is full again.
  • Bloxy Cola and Medkits spawn in matches. Learn where they appear. Colas do not stack if you drink two within about thirty seconds.

How to survive a chase

A chase is called a loop when you use the map to waste the Killer's time. Each second they spend on you is a second your team can repair.

  • Run for distance. If you spot the Killer, head to the far side of the map before they get close.
  • Take straight paths. Hug walls and do not waste steps.
  • Mix up your route. If you went left last time, go right this time. Killers learn patterns.
  • Learn your safe lookouts. Find spots where you can see the Killer without being seen.
  • Use abilities at the right time. Save your stun or invisibility for the moment you would otherwise be hit.

How to help your team

  • Fix generators when the Killer is elsewhere. Do not just hide, since generators shorten the round.
  • Leave if the Killer's terror radius warning starts. Five generators is the usual goal.
  • Spread out so one attack cannot hit several of you. Crowds are easy targets for some Killers.
  • Mix roles. A healer, a Sentinel and a Survivalist do more than a team of the same kit.
  • If you are a Sentinel, do not run in with no plan. Wait for the Killer to swing, then stun.

Which Killer to play first

Slasher and c00lkidd are free. Other public Killers cost Player Points, not Robux.

Killer Style Difficulty on the wiki
Slasher Close-range rushdown 2 out of 5
c00lkidd Fast, aggressive, with wall-piercing shots 3 out of 5
Guest 666 Slow build into a strong late game 3 out of 5
1x1x1x1 Zoning and snowball 4 out of 5
Nosferatu Stealth and mobility 4 out of 5
John Doe Traps and map control 5 out of 5
Noli Tricks and ambushes 5 out of 5
Azure Traps and area control 5 out of 5

Slasher used to be called Jason, and some older guides still use that name. Start with him.

Killer tips for beginners

  • Your stamina matters too. Do not sprint across the whole map and arrive with none.
  • Focus on one Survivor at a time.
  • Check generators, but do not stand next to one for the entire round.
  • Older Slasher guides suggest using Behead on stunners like Guest 1337 or Shedletsky, because it stops them using abilities for a while. Then finish with your bigger attack.
  • Save Raging Pace for when you are close enough to land a hit, or late in a round to find the last Survivor.

How to earn Player Points

You earn Player Points and EXP from rounds. Doing objectives and surviving helps. Spend your points on one Survivor and one Killer you enjoy before you buy cosmetics. Leveling a character also unlocks free Milestone skins at levels 25, 50, 75 and 100.

You do not need Robux to play either side. Passes in the game are mainly skins, emotes and VIP.

Where to get news

The Forsaken Dev Team group and the official Discord are the best places for update news. The Forsaken Roblox page has the game and its links. Abilities can change after any update, so read the character screen first.
