Jujutsu Shenanigans Best Characters and Combos

October 30, 2026 · 5 min read

On this page

Ten Shadows and Blood Manipulator are the safest top picks, since every recent ranking we read puts them high. Perfection is the easiest strong choice if Pocket Gamer's view fits how you play. For combos, there is no single best route. Learn one short string for your character, then add one skill at a time.

Rankings here are opinion. The official game page lists controls only and was updated on October 30, 2026, so any list can be a patch behind. Character names and moves also change. Trust what you see in your move list.

Pocket Gamer says its list blends community opinion, creators and win rates, but it does not publish the numbers. RBLX Guide's column is pure math: base move damage divided by cooldown, then adjusted for HP. It has no match data, and it ignores awakenings, defense and combos. Its author says so.

Why they disagree. A character can be weak on the math and strong in play. RBLX Guide's own example is Black Death, last on its list at 0.200, yet the wiki lists a combo of 118 for it. Vessel scores C, but its listed base combo reaches up to 89.5. These are the numbers from a table read on October 24, 2026.

Which to main

You want Pick Why Weakness
Top-tier power, patience Ten Shadows Summons pressure opponents, Mahoraga awakening Low HP (85) and long cooldowns, keep your distance
Zoning and burst Blood Manipulator Supernova controls space, 50 damage in base moves Convergence uses 10% of the awakening bar
Simple aggression Perfection Pocket Gamer calls it easy with few downsides Beebom says it has windups and punishable recovery
Learning fundamentals Honored One or Restless Gambler Both Beebom and All Things How suggest them to learn on Honored One has long cooldowns (66 seconds total)
Pure damage at range True Cannon Top math score, Granite Blast on a 0.5 second cooldown Overheat: 20% per cast, disabled at 100%
Reads and timing Vessel Highest skill ceiling, per several writers Hard to play, only 85 HP

HP conflict to watch. RBLX Guide lists Lucky Coward at 65 HP and Beebom at 70. Check the character card if a small HP difference matters to your combo.

Awakening can flip the matchup. Base scores hide big jumps. RBLX Guide's table of the wiki's best listed combos:

Character Best base combo Best awakened combo
Honored One 81.25 About 106 (the wiki has a likely typo)
Restless Gambler 68.5 192.7 with True Awakening
Perfection 62 94, or 148.7 with Super Awakening
Disaster Plants 76 90

Gambler's jump is the largest, which helps explain why it stays popular even in lower tiers. Remember these are maximums on paper, and they assume every hit lands.

How to build a combo that lasts

Exact routes break after patches, so learn the structure. The controls from the official page are M1 to attack, 1 to 4 for skills, Q to dash, F to block, R for special and G for awakening.

The usual starting point. A fan combo site suggests 3 M1s into a downslam, then one skill. It warns that this will not work the same way for every character. Practice both a downslam and an uppercut finish, as they push the opponent differently.

Part Job Common mistake
Starter Confirm the first hit landed Using a skill before you see the hit
Extender One skill to keep them close or in the air Spending every skill at once
Finisher Knockback or a safe reset Trying for damage you cannot confirm
Reset Keep dash or block ready Ending with nothing left

A fan wiki describes these difficulty steps:

  • Simple: M1 string, extender, safe finisher.
  • Medium: M1 string, launcher, air M1s, finisher.
  • Advanced: starter, control skill, launcher, finisher.
  • Awakening: a confirmed starter, then enhanced skills. Do not awaken directly into pressure.

Why your combo keeps dropping

Ragdoll cancel. If the defender has a full bar, your string may be an escape chance, not a true combo. Fan pages list this as one of the top reasons a route fails. Before calling a combo reliable, check whether it still works when they can cancel. Beebom mentions tools built around this, such as Bud Shot denying cancel gain for Disaster Plants and Rika extensions for Cursed Partners. Those notes are from May 2026.

Spacing. A route that works close can fail from a step further back. Try it from close, mid range and near a wall.

Cooldown order. Using a skill early may leave it unavailable later. Keep the order fixed while you practice.

Stale routes. A combo video may be from an older version. Check the date before you spend an evening on it.

A practice routine

  1. Pick one character and write down its starter, form and the game version.
  2. Run the same route ten times. Count how many land.
  3. Note the first point where it fails.
  4. Change only one thing, such as timing or dash direction.
  5. Add a new skill only when the route lands most of the time.
  6. Practice stopping early if the first hit grazes. Missing the next skill can leave you open.

A combo you land every time beats a bigger one you drop. Fan guides agree on that, and so do the tier writers who note that all characters can win in the right hands.

Fights with more than two players

In crowded lobbies, the fan wiki advises shorter routes and a knockback finisher, since someone else may hit you mid-combo. Save your dash, and do not spend everything on one target. Pocket Gamer's point about Ten Shadows applies widely here: if you have low HP, stay at range and let your tools work.

Unlocks

RBLX Guide says new characters usually launch in Early Access through a 300 Robux gamepass and later become free. It also counts 22 free characters. So check what is free in your character list before you spend anything, since a new pick may simply be waiting for its full release.
