Pet Simulator 99 Beginner Guide

Your early route in Pet Simulator 99 is simple: hatch pets, equip the strongest ones, break things for coins, open the next area, and repeat until your first rebirth at Area 25. Rank quests give you free rewards along the way, so do them as you go.

The game updates often, so numbers can move. Official numbers below come from the BIG Games Index wiki. Other details come from fan guides and are marked. If the game shows something different, trust the game.

Your first session

1. Finish the tutorial. Guides say it teaches the basics and hands out some early rewards.
2. Hatch your first egg. A fan wiki lists the Cracked Egg at 90 coins, with Dog, Corgi, Cat and Axolotl inside.
3. Equip your strongest pets. Pets only help if they are equipped. Check again every few hatches.
4. Break everything nearby. Your pets break coin piles and chests, and small piles count.
5. Open the next gate. Spend your coins on the next area as soon as nearby breakables are gone.
6. Hatch that area's egg. Better eggs live in newer areas.

Pick pets by how fast they break things, not by how cute or rare they look. A strong common pet beats a weak favorite.

Knowing when to move forward

Do not stay in a finished area. Coin income there falls behind the price of the next egg. Use one of these simple tests from fan guides:

• If your team clears an area's breakables in about 10 seconds or less, keep moving forward.
• If the biggest chest takes more than 15 seconds to break, stop and get better pets or upgrades first.
• If it breaks in under 5 seconds, you are ready for the next area.

These are community rules of thumb, not official numbers. They still work well as a quick check.

Some early areas add useful features. A fan wiki says Area 4 raises how many pets you can equip, Area 8 lets you open more eggs at once, and Area 20 has the Daycare.

Ranks and quests

Do not ignore the rank quests on the right side of your screen. Goals give stars, and stars unlock rewards on your rank track. The official ranks page shows Rank 1 rewards including TNT, 2,250 Diamonds in total across three slots, and boost items.

Ranks also expand how many pets you can equip and eggs you can open. The official page lists Rank 1 goals like these:

• Earn 50 Diamonds

If you feel stuck, read your rank goals before choosing an area. One fan guide warns that a goal can pull you to a zone that is wrong for your team, so balance quests with coin progress.

Spending coins and Diamonds

Spend coins on area unlocks and on eggs that replace your weakest pets. Do not hatch far more than you need just to fill a list.

Guides disagree on the best order for permanent upgrades. The official upgrades page shows how different the total costs are:

The page does not name the currency, so check in game. Walkspeed and Magnet cost very little, so they are easy early buys. After that, work on the upgrade that matches what is slowing you down.

For Diamonds, fan guides agree on two things:

• Skip weak eggs. Save Diamonds for the best egg in your current world.
• Be careful with expensive pet purchases early. Stat pets lose value quickly, and Huge pets need more knowledge to price well.

Also, do not fuse a pet you are still farming with, since that can slow you down.

Your first rebirth

Rebirth One is at Area 25, per the official rebirths page. Here is what the official list says it gives:

• A permanent 75% boost to pet strength
• Teleport
• Auto Hatch
• The Castle Key
• A rewards bundle

Later rebirths are at Areas 50, 75, 99, 125, 150, 175, 199 and 219, with the boost growing by another 75% each time.

Sources conflict on what resets. A fan wiki from October 2026 says coins and area unlocks reset while pets and Diamonds stay. Another fan guide says nothing resets at all. The official page does not say. Read the message in game before you confirm. Either way, the guides all treat your first rebirth as a major step forward.

The Trading Plaza

The Castle Key opens the way to the Trading Plaza. An older 2024 guide says the entrance is a portal in The Castle in Area 3, and that a Normal server is open to everyone once you get through. That guide is dated, so the path may have changed.

Safety rules for trading:

• Trade only inside the game, using the Trading Plaza.
• Check an item's value before you agree to a deal.
• Never trade outside the game or give anyone your account details.
• Watch for scams, especially fast switches at the last second.
• Hold off on big purchases until you know the game better.

Events and spending

Events can add free Huge pets and boosted luck, but they end quickly and their eggs age fast. One guide says to ignore event eggs early on, while another lists a free Huge in the Season Pass during late October 2026. We saw that date on a single source only, so check the in-game event board. If a free reward is easy to claim, take it, then get back to your main route.

You do not need Robux to enjoy the early game. Gamepasses and boosts cost real money, so ask a parent or guardian first. Skip anyone offering cheap pets or diamonds outside the game, since those deals can cost you your account.
