The Strongest Battlegrounds Beginner Guide

The Strongest Battlegrounds has no redeem code system. There are no codes for free spins, emotes or currency. The "codes" you see on many sites are Roblox audio IDs for custom kill sounds, and they only work after you buy the Kill Sound option with Robux from the settings menu. They change a sound and give you no power.
To get better, learn blocking and dashing first, stick to one free character, and save long combos for later. Good movement wins more early fights than combo knowledge.
Sources here are community guides from 2024 to 2026 plus the official game page. Yielding Arts does change characters, so treat move details as a starting point.
Controls on PC
From the official game page:
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Punch | Left click |
| Block | F |
| Dash | Q |
| Ragdoll cancel or evasive | Q while ragdolled |
| Run | Double tap W |
| Ultimate mode | G |
| Emote wheel | B |
Community guides add Space to jump, and keys 1 to 4 for your character's skills. The official page says the game works on PC, mobile and console.
How a match works
You spawn into a free-for-all with everyone on the server. There are no teams, and when you die you respawn right away and keep fighting. Kills are the score, and lifetime kills unlock cosmetics. Shop items are visual only, so nothing you buy makes you stronger in a fight.
Ranked matches sit off to the side as organized 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 fights. Wait until the basics feel natural before you try them.
Pick one character
Switch characters with the icon at the top left of the screen. These were listed as free in a May 2026 guide:
| Character | Style | Beginner rating |
|---|---|---|
| The Strongest Hero | Balanced, quick and heavy hits | Best first pick |
| Martial Artist | Balanced attack and defense | Good |
| Deadly Ninja | Very fast, built on movement | Good second pick |
| Blade Master | Sword fighter with a counter in the base kit | Good second pick |
| Destructive Cyborg | Mid-range attacks | Try for ranged pressure |
| Tech Prodigy | Ranged, strong against groups | Try for ranged pressure |
| Brutal Demon | Aggressive, breaks blocks | Later |
| Wild Psychic | Grabs and crowd control | Later |
| Hero Hunter | Close range, grabs and counters | Later |
The ratings follow advice from the guides we read and may not suit everyone. Start with The Strongest Hero, since his kit is forgiving and easy to read. Try the others in casual fights after that, then pick one to stay with. Early Access and exclusive characters need a game pass or special access, and you can skip them while you learn.
Learn these four things in order
1. Block
Hold F to cover your front. Blocking only protects the direction you face, so an attacker behind you can still hit you. Do not hold it forever. Some characters break blocks easily, and Destructive Cyborg can still deal small damage through one.
2. Dash
Press Q with a direction to dash. Use it to dodge a hit, start an attack or make space. Guides recommend the side dash as the safest way to attack from medium or long range. The long dash covers the most ground, which helps when you need distance. Dashes are also one of the main ways to punish someone who is blocking.
3. Ragdoll cancel
When you get knocked down, press Q to recover. The official page lists this as a core control, so use it from your first match. It can get you out of a follow-up before it lands.
4. Basic combos
Every character has a four-hit punch string on left click, called M1s, and the last hit deals the most damage. Once that feels easy, add one skill after your punches. Fighting near a wall can help you extend a combo. Long combos are high risk, because they are harder to land and leave you open if you miss. Learn one short combo that works before you try to copy a long one.
How ultimate mode works
Dealing damage fills a meter above your skills. When it is full, press G to enter ultimate mode, also called Awakening. Each character changes differently. Some hit far harder, and others get a big boost to their other attacks. The Strongest Hero's ultimate lasts forever according to one guide, though each move in it can only be used once.
Do not waste it in a messy pile of players. Use it when you have one clear target, or when you need a safe way out of a fight.
Fight smarter
- Stay patient. Do not jump into every fight. Watch what the other player does and wait until they use their skills.
- Bait attacks. Step into their range for a moment, pull back so they miss, and hit them while they recover. This is called hit baiting.
- Keep moving. Standing still makes you an easy target. Mix up directions and add jumps.
- Change your pattern. If you repeat the same opening, good players will read it and punish it.
- Learn other characters. Knowing what a move looks like tells you when to block and when to dash.
- Mix your style. Guides recommend switching between patient and aggressive play, because that is harder to read than either one alone.
Fighting stronger players is also useful, even when you lose. Pay attention to what beat you, then work on that one thing.
Cosmetics and spins
Lifetime kills unlock accessories and auras, and those milestones are not spent when you reach them. Emote spins roll random cosmetics. The official page says all items in those spins have an equal chance, and you cannot get a duplicate. Monthly kill leaderboards hand out name titles, which reset and are separate from ranked standing.
All of this is optional. Robux purchases are only for looks, so you can skip them and still fight on equal terms.
Avoid these mistakes
- Memorizing combos before you can block and dash.
- Switching characters every few minutes.
- Spending your ultimate the moment it fills.
- Trusting sites that promise "free codes" for this game, because none of those are real rewards.
- Using scripts or exploits. They are against Roblox rules and can cost you your account.
