Violence District Beginner Guide for Survivors and Killers

October 30, 2026 · 5 min read

On this page

In Violence District, five Survivors repair five generators and escape through the exit gates, while one Killer tries to stop them. Your role is chosen at random each round, so set up both a Survivor and a Killer loadout before you play.

Violence District has no redeem codes. Pages from September and October 2026 all say no code system has been added, so you earn currency by playing.

The game's Roblox page calls it an alpha and warns to expect bugs and changes. Prices below are from a fan wiki updated in October 2026. Older guides are flagged where we use them.

How a round works

  • One Killer faces five Survivors. Each round runs up to about 15 minutes.
  • Survivors repair generators. Five finished generators power the exit gates.
  • Survivors win if anyone gets out alive. The Killer wins by taking out all five.
  • You earn currency from what you do in the match, even if you lose.

One older guide says some rounds used six generators, so glance at the count on your screen.

How to fix a generator

  1. Walk up to a generator until the interact icon appears, and press E.
  2. Watch for the skill check. A red needle moves around a circle.
  3. Press the key when the needle is in the white area.
  4. Repeat until the generator lights up and makes its powered-up sound.

Older guides say a missed check makes the generator explode with a loud noise, which alerts the Killer and slows your progress. A normal hit is much better than a miss, so do not gamble on a perfect one.

Listen as you work. If you hear the Killer coming, leave before they arrive. Living is worth more than a few seconds of repair.

Survivor tips

  • Repair with an exit plan. Know where you will run before you start. Pick generators near windows and pallets.
  • Split up early. Spreading out covers more generators and stops one chase from wrecking everyone.
  • Finish nearby generators together. One older guide suggests working on clusters of two or three nearby generators.
  • Save pallets. The Roblox page calls them scarce. Drop one when the Killer is close enough to stun, then run. A pallet dropped too early is wasted.
  • Practice vaults. Vault too soon and the Killer gets an easy hit. Vault too late and you get hit anyway.
  • Revive and heal when it is safe. Do not run to a downed teammate if the Killer is standing right there.

Your first items

Items are bought with Screws and go in your Survivor loadout.

Item Price in Screws Use
Motion Tracker 3,000 Warns you when the Killer is near. Good around generators
Bandage 3,500 Heals you over about 24 seconds, needs cover
Adrenaline Shot 5,000 Short speed burst for an escape, with a slowdown after

The wiki calls Bandage and Motion Tracker the easier early picks. Flashlight, Parrying Dagger, Gate and Holy Water all reward timing or map knowledge, so try those later.

We suggest buying Motion Tracker first if you often get surprised, or Bandage if you often get hurt early.

Perks

Perks are loadout bonuses for both sides. They cover things like speed, healing, aura reads and generator pressure. A perk only helps if it triggers often in your real rounds, so pick ones that fit how you play instead of chasing big numbers.

Spending your currency

Currency Earned from Spent on
Screws Match actions such as generators, chases, escapes and kills Killers, items, emotes, perk upgrades
Emblems Rarer than Screws Perks, some emotes, skins

Since Screws pay for almost everything, spend them on the side you play most. Do not buy emotes until you have your core items. Older guides disagree a little on exactly what each currency buys, so check the shop.

Killer basics

The Slasher is free. He has Lake Mist for sneaking up and Pursuit for punishing pallets. Learn the game with him before you save for anything else.

Killer Screws Style
The Slasher Free Ambush and simple chases
The Stalker 7,500 Quiet setup into a fast hunt
The Hidden 8,000 Leaps through obstacles and precise marks
The Masked 8,000 Random masks that change your strengths
The Killer 8,500 Chained hits, strong against groups
The Abysswalker 8,500 Slashes that pressure objectives and groups
The Veil 8,500 Long-range spears
The Cure 15,000 Infection and minions, needs setup

Killer tips

  • Patrol generator clusters. You can interrupt several Survivors at once.
  • Do not chase one person forever. If a Survivor keeps getting away, others are repairing. Switch to someone easier.
  • Use speed tools in chases. Do not waste them when no one is near you.
  • Expect pallets. Slow down near them or bait the drop so you do not get stunned.
  • Learn the warning range. Killers have an intent radius that warns Survivors you are near. For The Slasher, it is listed at 90 studs, so use Lake Mist and walls to get closer.
  • Pick perks that match your Killer. One guide suggests this as the easiest way to get more from a chase.

Avoid these early mistakes

  • Spending Screws on emotes first.
  • Hiding all round. Survivors need generators to finish.
  • Running straight in a line with no pallet or window nearby.
  • Forgetting your Killer loadout, since you can be picked at random.
  • Buying a high-priced Killer before you know what you like.

Events and news

The Butcher X Halloween event is listed as live through November 21, 2026. Halloween and Christmas shops have used their own event currencies in the past, and those currencies do not stay usable, so spend them before an event ends.

Check the Violence District Roblox page and the VIOLENCE DISTRICT group for updates. The official Discord also carries news and is where the developers ask for bug reports. If they ever add codes, those are the places to look first.
