Bee Swarm Simulator Best Hive and Gear Progression Order

Stay a mixed hive until you own the Supreme Star Amulet, then go blue first, because guides agree it is the cheapest color to start. For gear, buy the Mountain Top basics at 25 bees, work toward the Porcelain Dipper, then the Porcelain Port-O-Hive, an Ace Shop mask, your first Petal item and the Coconut Canister.
This order comes from fan wikis and one outlet, and we could not find an official order from the developer, Onett. These sites conflict on some prices and steps, so we flag those below. Rankings are their opinions, and in-game prices are the ones to trust.
Gear order from 25 bees
Sources agree on the broad order. Their exact bee counts vary, so treat these as rough targets.
| Stage | Buy | Listed cost | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25 bees | Beekeeper's Boots | 15M honey | Faster movement for tokens and quests |
| 25 bees | Beekeeper's Mask | 20M honey | A general pollen boost |
| 25 bees | Mondo Belt Bag | 10M or 15M honey | Capacity. Sources differ on price |
| About 33 bees | Porcelain Dipper | 150M honey listed | A big jump in collection |
| 34 to 35 bees | Porcelain Port-O-Hive | 250M honey | Fewer trips to your hive |
| About 35 bees | Honey Mask or Bubble Mask | 100M honey plus materials | Honey Mask for active mixed play, Bubble for blue |
| Afterward | Cobalt and Crimson Guards | Check the shop | Stats that stay useful for a long time |
| 40 to 45 bees | Coconut Canister | Check the shop | Often called one of the biggest upgrades |
One fan wiki says to stop buying hive slots and save for the Dipper when your next slot costs around 152M honey. Roonby's order fits with that, buying slots up to 33 bees and getting the Glider before the Dipper. However, another page on a similarly named fan wiki says to buy the Dipper at 25 bees. We would follow the 33 bee advice, because the Dipper's price is hard to reach earlier. Either way, it is safe to upgrade when your bag or tool is clearly holding you back.
Two simple tests help you choose. If your bag fills within seconds of a boost, upgrade your bag or mask. If you take too long to fill it, upgrade your tool.
Skip these for now, according to the sources: the Sparkstaff, which one wiki calls a side-grade, the Honeycomb Belt, which Roonby says is quickly replaced, and the Parachute, because the Glider is better later.
Spirit Petal choice
This is the biggest disagreement, so here it is in full.
| Source | First Petal pick | Reason given |
|---|---|---|
| Roonby (Dec 2025) | Petal Belt | Bomb pollen and capacity matter more at this stage |
| beeswarmsimulator.wiki (June 2026) | Petal Belt, then Windy Bee, then the other item | Long-term capacity and stats |
| bee-swarm-simulator.wiki (June 2026) | Petal Wand | Steady collection and conversion |
Two of the three favor the belt. If your bag fills too fast, we would choose the belt. If your tool feels slow and you want an easier long grind, the wand is a fair pick. The Petal Wand recipe listed by one wiki is 1.5B honey, 1 Spirit Petal, 10 Star Jellies, 25 Glitter and 75 Enzymes. That is a single source, so confirm it in-game.
Save these items now
These tips appear in more than one source, and they save a lot of grinding later.
- Keep Diamond Eggs. You reportedly need 5 for the Diamond Mask, a core blue hive item. Hatching them early means earning them again.
- Save Star Eggs. Roonby says to hold them until you have at least one gifted Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary bee, which it says guarantees a gifted Mythic.
- Stockpile from the Coconut Crab. It drops Tropical Drinks and Coconuts, which you will need for the Coconut gear.
- Spend tickets wisely. Fan sources say to save tickets for Tabby Bee and Photon Bee rather than basic items.
Best mixed hive
While you are mixed, you want many gifted types plus useful abilities. Don't chase a perfect layout, since you will replace bees later.
| Priority | Bees | Why, according to the source |
|---|---|---|
| Event bees (fan wiki S tier) | Tabby, Photon, Gummy, Vicious | Scaling, instant collection and combat |
| Support (fan wiki A tier) | Music, Baby, Carpenter, Fuzzy | Melody, Baby Love, marks and pollination |
| Role fillers (fan wiki B tier) | Commander, Bucko, Riley, Frosty | Color boosts and focus tokens |
Roonby suggests 4 Music Bees, 4 Baby Bees and 3 Carpenter Bees in a mixed setup, plus bees that give haste and color boosts. It gifts event bees in this order: Tabby, Photon, Bear, Gummy, Cobalt, Festive, Vicious, Puppy.
Your long-term target is the Supreme Star Amulet. Sources agree it needs 40 gifted bee types. So a new gifted type can be worth more than a higher-level duplicate. Bee levels still matter though, and one wiki warns that the best gear won't save a low-level hive.
Choosing a hive color
| Color | Playstyle | Core mask | Endgame tool | Key Mythic |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blue | Relaxed, cheapest to start | Diamond Mask | Tide Popper | Buoyant Bee |
| Red | Active, burst boosts | Demon Mask | Dark Scythe | Precise Bee |
| White | Most expensive | Gummy Mask | Gummy Baller | Vector Bee |
The passive you roll on your amulet can guide your choice, for example Pop Star for blue. Don't switch early. Roonby says red and white need fully gifted and mutated setups, and suggests saving at least one quadrillion honey before trying them after blue.
Late game order by color
This is Roonby's order from December 2025, so newer items may change it. Buy these only after your amulet and color are set.
| Color | Order |
|---|---|
| Blue | Reach 50 slots, Tide Popper or Hydroponic Planter, Petal Planter, Gummy Boots, Heat-Treated Planter |
| Red | Petal Planter, Demon Mask, Dark Scythe, Heat-Treated Planter, Gummy Boots, Hydroponic Planter |
| White | Petal Planter, Gummy Mask, Gummy Baller, Gummy Boots, Hydroponic and Heat-Treated Planters |
One fan wiki lists the Tide Popper and Dark Scythe at 2.5T honey plus materials, and the Gummy Baller at 5T. Materials change what you actually need, so read the full recipe at the shop before you save.
Roonby mentions macro use for blue hives. We don't recommend relying on macros or other automation, and you should check the game's rules. Roblox and Onett rules decide what is allowed, not guide sites.
