Dandy's World Best Toons by Role and Unlock Cost

On this page
On stats alone, Gourdy is the top Toon, followed by Shelly, Soulvester and Vee. For regular play, Vee and Shelly are the strongest long-term goals, since Gourdy and Soulvester need Halloween Pumpkins. Pebble and Sprout score lower on paper but have long been rated as team essentials, so choose by the job you want first.
The ranking below is not official and does not come from match results. It is a formula made by RBLX Guide from the Dandy's World wiki's numbers, as of version 0.29.10. That version matches the one on the official game page. The writer chose the weights, and only one site publishes this exact list. The game is in Alpha, so check each Toon's card in game.
How the score works
RBLX Guide's formula doubles Skill Check and Extraction, since those fill Machines. It gives Movement and Stealth 1.5 each, and Stamina 1, then adds up to 3 points for abilities. Abilities are scored by cooldown, not by usefulness, which is the method's biggest flaw.
| Tier | Toons | Score |
|---|---|---|
| S | Gourdy, Shelly, Soulvester, Vee | 29 to 31.5 |
| A | Gigi, Brusha, Squirm, Waxwell, Astro, Brightney, Cocoa, Yatta | 27 to 28 |
| B | Bobette, Flyte, Glisten, Tisha, Toodles, Connie, Finn, Ginger, Goob, Pebble, Rudie | 26 to 26.5 |
| C | Bassie, Coal, Flutter, Looey, Rodger, Scraps, Sprout, Teagan, Boxten, Eclipse, Eggson, Poppy, Ribecca | 25 to 25.5 |
| D and F | Cosmo, Razzle and Dazzle, Blot, then Shrimpo | 23.5 to 24.5, then 9 |
A different opinion. The Escapist's list, last updated in April 2025 at version 0.8.4, put Vee, Sprout and Pebble as must-haves. It rated them for what they do: Vee finds Twisteds for the team, Sprout heals, and Pebble baits monsters. That list is about 18 months old, but it shows what a stats score misses. RBLX Guide also admits Pebble is the clearest case of a formula understating a Toon.
What a star is really worth
Not all stars are equal. These values come from the wiki's stat table, as reported by RBLX Guide.
| Stat | 1 star | 3 stars | 5 stars |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skill Check window | 50 | 150 | 250 |
| Run speed | 20 | 25 | 30 |
| Stamina | 100 | 150 | 200 |
| Stealth (detection units) | 0 | 10 | 20 |
| Extraction per second | 0.75 | 1.00 | 1.50 |
The key one is Extraction. A Machine holds 45 units, so a one-star extractor needs about 60 seconds and a five-star needs 30. The jump from four to five stars is the biggest step on the scale. If you want to fill Machines, five-star Extraction is worth more than the formula shows.
Best picks by job
Extractors.
| Toon | Stats to note | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Vee | 5 Extraction, 4 Skill Check | 4,500 Ichor, 100% Twisted Vee, all Mastery Quests on Brightney |
| Shelly | 5 Skill Check, 3 Extraction | 4,250 Ichor, 100% Twisted Shelly, all Mastery Quests on Tisha |
| Squirm | 5 Extraction, 3 Skill Check | 3,000 Ichor, 50% Twisted Squirm, 3+ Titles |
| Yatta | 5 Extraction, 3 Skill Check, 1 Stamina | 2,000 Ichor, 15+ Toons, 50% Twisted Yatta |
| Gigi | 5 Skill Check, 3 Extraction | 2,000 Ichor, 50% Twisted Gigi, 45 Rare or better Items |
Distractors. You want top speed and enough Stamina to keep going.
- Pebble: 5 Movement, 4 Stamina, but only 1 Extraction, so leave Machines to others.
- Waxwell: 5 Movement and 5 Skill Check, but only 1 Stamina. The newest Toon, costing 3,500 Ichor.
- Bassie: 5 Movement, 4 Stamina, an event Toon that may not be available.
- Razzle and Dazzle: swap stat lines by floor, with 5 Movement on odd floors and 5 Extraction on even ones.
Stealth and support.
- Astro and Connie have the only five-star Stealth. Astro's Nap Time restores nearby Toons' Stamina. He is the most expensive Toon at 5,000 Ichor.
- Sprout is rated for healing by The Escapist, with 5 Stamina as a bonus.
- Brusha was reworked in version 0.26.1. Painting a Machine gives everyone extracting it 25% faster Extraction and a 15% higher Skill Check chance. The formula does not count that, so this Toon is better than the score suggests, and cheap.
Best value unlocks
Brusha (1,250 Ichor, 25% research) and Brightney (1,250 Ichor, 5 Blackouts) are the cheapest A-tier Toons. Both are realistic before you can afford the top picks. Brightney also gives light in Blackouts, which the wiki notes as helpful, but 1 Stealth means Twisteds will notice quickly.
Plan ahead for the two big Main Characters. Shelly needs Tisha's Mastery Quests and Vee needs Brightney's, so owning and playing those Toons is part of the unlock.
Limited Halloween picks, time sensitive
The Halloween event is listed as running October 2 to November 6, 2026. Pumpkins only exist during the event.
| Toon | Cost | Worth it because |
|---|---|---|
| Gourdy | 3,000 Pumpkins, 2,500 Ichor, 100% Twisted Gourdy | 5 Skill Check, 5 Extraction, 4 Movement |
| Soulvester | 700 Pumpkins, 50% Twisted Soulvester | Same two five-star stats, cheapest S-tier |
Be realistic about their weaknesses. Gourdy has 1 Stamina and 1 Stealth, so Twisteds notice him quickly. Soulvester has 1 Movement and 1 Stamina, so running away is not an option. Both need teammates to draw Twisteds away.
Note that during the Haunted Gala floor event each player wears a mask that swaps in another Toon's stats and abilities, so your choice does not matter on that floor.
Trinkets that fix weak spots
You can equip 2 trinkets and cannot swap during a run. These are RBLX Guide's reasoning, using wiki numbers.
| Problem | Trinket | Effect | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Missing Skill Checks | Thinking Cap | +40 window, no penalty | 750 Ichor, 30 Machines |
| Low Skill Check Toon | Mime Makeup | A miss no longer alerts Twisteds | 100% Twisted Blot |
| Low Stamina | Cooler | +50 Stamina, 5% speed penalty | 2,250 Ichor and milestones |
| Slow start | Wrench | Big boost on a floor's first Machine | 325 Ichor |
| Any Toon | Savory Charm | Survives one fatal hit per round | Check in game |
A flat +40 window matters most on a Toon with a small window, like Blot or Cosmo at 50. Thinking Cap costs little and fits almost any extractor, so it is a strong early purchase.
Avoid these traps
- Do not judge by score alone. A team of Gourdys has no one to distract Twisteds.
- Shrimpo is a challenge pick. He has one star in every stat, and his Bully passive drops his Stealth to -99.
- Mains have an edge. Toons with 16 total stars get a head start in any stats list, including this one.
- Starter Toons are fine. Boxten and Poppy are flat threes and score in C, which is enough to learn with.
The scores may shift with patches, so recheck them after any balance update.
