Steal a Brainrot Best Brainrots and Base Defense Plan

The best brainrot is the one with the highest final income you can keep on your base. At the very top that means Strawberry Elephant, Meowl and Headless Horseman. For most players, the real plan is simpler: raise income one rarity at a time, hold your best unit deep in your base, and buy defensive gear as each rebirth unlocks it.
All numbers here come from community wikis and outlets, not from the developer. The game updates almost weekly, so trust the values you see in-game.
The top brainrots by income
This table uses RBLXGUIDE's listed base income. Its S tier comes from its own tier list, which is based on income and community value lists. That list was last dated April 26, 2026, so newer units may be missing.
| Brainrot | Listed base income | RBLXGUIDE tier |
|---|---|---|
| Strawberry Elephant | $750M/s | S |
| Meowl | $600M/s | S |
| Headless Horseman | $550M/s | S |
| Skibidi Toilet | $450M/s | S |
| Griffin | $400M/s | S |
| Hydra Dragon Cannelloni | $300M/s | S |
Newer units can also rank high. RBLXGUIDE's game page lists Phoenix at $425M/s and Plant Bros at $300M/s, but neither is on that tier list.
Be careful with older lists. Dexerto's list, last updated in December 2025, put Tralaledon in S tier at $27.5M/s and graded partly on design and fun. It was fair for its time and its stated goals, but it no longer describes the top of the game.
Income value and trade value are different
A high earner is not always the most wanted unit in a trade. RBLXGUIDE's community value list, compiled from outside sources, ranked Headless Horseman first and Signore Carapace second at the time we checked, while Strawberry Elephant came third.
| Your goal | What to compare |
|---|---|
| Earn cash faster | Final income per second |
| Trade well | Current demand, which changes quickly |
| Spend cash wisely | Income compared to its cost |
| Reach the next rebirth | The units the next rebirth asks for |
Community value lists are opinions, not official prices. Read every trade window yourself. Ignore anyone offering to trade outside the game, because those deals have no protection.
How mutations and traits add up
Many players assume every bonus multiplies. According to the formula the community wiki uses, that is wrong:
Income = base income x (mutation multiplier + all trait multipliers added together)
So a Rainbow brainrot (10x) with a 5x trait earns 15x, not 50x. A brainrot can hold one mutation, but several traits can appear on it.
| Mutation | Listed multiplier | How it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Eclipse | 14x | Chance during the Eclipse event |
| Crystal, Prismatic | 13x | Limited events |
| Phantom | 12x | Limited events |
| Cyber, Disco | 11x | Limited events |
| Rainbow | 10x | 1% on the Red Carpet |
| Diamond | 1.5x | 5% on the Red Carpet |
| Gold | 1.25x | 10% on the Red Carpet |
Here is how this helps you decide:
- Don't overpay for Gold or Diamond. These add very little on a unit with strong traits.
- Traits matter a lot. The top listed traits are Strawberry at 8x and Meowl at 7x. Using the formula, an Eclipse unit with Strawberry would be 22x.
- Stay in your server for events. Limited mutations are said to be available during their own events and otherwise only through Admin Abuse.
Which gear to buy for defense
The base lock is your first layer. Beebom's rebirth table shows +10 seconds of lock time at every rebirth level, across 19 levels. So rebirthing protects you as well as raising your income.
Prices and rebirth levels below come from RBLXGUIDE's gear list.
| Gear | Price | Rebirth | Why it helps defend |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trap | $1K | None listed | Freezes a thief for 7 seconds |
| Rage Table | $25K | 2 | Flings players and returns your brainrots, 4 second cooldown |
| Taser | $100K | 3 | Stuns, flings and returns brainrots, 5 second cooldown |
| Boogie Bomb | $500K | 4 | Thieves in the blast reportedly drop brainrots and dance |
| Medusa's Head | $5M | 5 | Turns nearby players to stone for 3 seconds, 25 second cooldown |
| All-Seeing Sentry | $5M | 7 | An automatic turret for your protection |
A sensible order is Trap first, then Rage Table and Taser. They are cheap, and the last two are built to get a stolen unit back. Save for Medusa's Head when raids become your main problem. These are our suggestions, not official advice.
Set up your base to buy time
These ideas come from a single RBLXGUIDE defense guide dated April 2026, so treat them as advice rather than rules.
- Put your best unit deepest. Thieves often take what is closest. Make them walk past everything else to reach it.
- Put cheap units near the entrance. Losing a low-value unit costs you far less than losing your top earner.
- Stand where you can see every approach. If you guard one side only, a second thief can come in from behind.
- Don't leave valuable units open while AFK. Time your lock, and don't step away right before it ends.
- Chase if it is close. A thief still has to get back to their own base, so a late hit may recover your unit.
That guide also gives some details we could not confirm, so we left them out. It names gear such as a Vault Box, Slow Mat and Alarm Bell that does not appear on the same site's gear list, and it quotes success rates with no source. If you see those items on other sites, check your in-game shop first. Skip any tip that uses a second account, too.
After a theft
Don't sit on an empty slot. Buy the best replacement you can afford right away, because an empty slot earns nothing. Then work out what let the thief in: an expired lock, a bad position, or being away from your screen. Fix that one problem before you go back to saving for your next big unit.
