We cannot test codes in the game. "Active" means at least two independent pages updated in the last 60 days list the code as working.
Active codes
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
awardwinner_yay |
15 Diamonds and 3 random Flames |
forestwakesup26 |
15 Diamonds, plus bonus items (see note) |
afterparty |
15 Diamonds |
Sources disagree on the forestwakesup26 bonus. One says 3 random Flames, another says three Offerings. Diamonds are also called Gems on some pages.
Unconfirmed codes
| Code | Reward | Note |
|---|---|---|
yay fishing |
2 Diamonds | One recent page lists it as active. Another marks it "check". Works once per account. |
yay fishing is not typed into the codes menu. Upgrade your campfire to level 2, go to the fishing area, equip a fishing rod, then type yay fishing in chat. The Diamonds drop into the game world.
How to redeem
- Stay in the lobby. Do not start a run yet.
- Press the Diamonds icon with the plus sign in the bottom-left corner.
- Press the blue Codes button.
- Enter the code exactly as shown, then press Submit.
Expired codes
happyhalloween (gave 10 Candy) is listed as expired by most recent pages.
Where new codes are posted
New codes come out irregularly, often with updates. Check the official 99 Nights in the Forest Discord server and the game's Roblox community page.
How winning works
Your goal is to reach Day 99, but that does not mean sitting through 99 separate nights. The day counter has a multiplier that starts at 1. Finishing beds and rescuing children raises it, and with every bonus active, one night can move the counter by up to nine days.
So the real plan is simple: keep the fire alive, build beds, and rescue the four missing children when you are strong enough.
Day 1: fuel, food, supplies
- Chop trees near camp and feed logs to the fire. One fan guide suggests at least 6 logs for the first night.
- Open nearby chests for bandages, sacks, weapons and tools.
- Eat before you get low, and cook raw food when you can.
- Keep some logs in reserve at camp instead of burning everything. You will need wood for crafting too.
- Get back before dark.
Crafting priorities
Pocket Tactics published these costs in late 2025. Recipes can change, so confirm them at your bench.
| Bench level | Upgrade cost | Useful unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Starting level | Old Bed (20 Wood), Map (3 Wood), Bunny Trap (5 Wood) |
| 2 | 1 Metal, 5 Wood | Regular Bed (5 Metal), Compass (3 Metal), Farm Plot (10 Wood), Bear Trap (3 Metal), Crock Pot (10 Metal, 15 Wood) |
| 3 | 10 Metal, 15 Wood | Good Bed (10 Metal, 10 Wood), Torch, Lightning Rod |
| 4 | 20 Metal, 30 Wood, 2 Cultist Gems | Later recipes |
| 5 | 50 Metal, 50 Wood, 1 Gem of the Forest | Later recipes |
Build in this order: Map, bed, bench level 2, then Compass and Farm Plots. Leave walls and decorations until these are done.
Staying alive at night
The Deer is the main night threat. The fan guide describes it as unkillable and faster than your sprint.
- It cannot enter the campfire safe zone while the fire burns, so never let the fire die.
- Carry a flashlight at night. Shining it on the Deer stuns it briefly so you can run.
- Do not start a long trip late in the day.
Cultists attack the camp, so keep a weapon and healing items close to the fire rather than scattered around the map.
Days 2 to 10
- Look for better chests to find armor, a stronger flashlight and guns.
- Upgrade the campfire with fuel. This expands the area of the map you can use.
- Do not pick fights too early. One guide lists Wolves at 75 HP and 20 damage, and Bears at 350 HP and 40 damage. Wait for a rifle or spear before fighting a Bear, and use Bear Traps to weaken it first.
- Save Wolf Pelts for the Pelt Trader.
- Note where camp is before you explore, and use your Map and Compass.
Rescuing the children
Each rescued child permanently raises your multiplier and then stays in a tent by the campfire. Later rescue spots have stronger guards, so bring a good weapon and healing items, and do not attempt a rescue with your starting gear.
Classes
Classes are bought with Diamonds in the lobby class shop. They give you starting gear and permanent advantages. New players should choose one that helps with gathering, exploring or basic survival. Solo players get more from self-sufficient or combat classes, while support classes work best in a team.
Common mistakes
- Exploring far from camp near nightfall
- Burning all your wood early
- Rescuing children with weak weapons
- Spending materials on walls before beds and storage
- Playing in a team without talking, so everyone collects the same resource
